Support Worker

 

We are recruiting for a Support Worker with Care Leavers in the Community!

We have a full time position circa £21,000 to 23,000 with opportunity for progression. A minimum 37 hours per week (overtime paid accordingly).

We have bank positions available too.

About Us:

We began in 2009 as Ray Porter (foster carer) set out to support the lives of children leaving the care system. Since then we have supported over 100 children and young people across Greater Manchester and the North West towards independence. We work across immediate outreach support (emergency), daily support and shift work (day/night paid hourly).

You will need to have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Children & Young Peoples Workforce or Health and Social Care (desirable). If this is not already achieved this will be completed during employment.
  • Flexibility to work across emergency work, floating support and intense support with young people.
  • Have a genuine desire to support others to improve their lives
  • Good Literacy and communication skills
  • Patience and empathy towards some of the issues and challenges are faced by young people
  • Able to work flexibly, including bank holidays (including the Christmas and New Year period), evenings and weekends
  • Full Clean Driving License (if over aged 25 can use pool vehicles)
