Our Purpose, Ethos, Core Aims and Function
Fusion Care’s ultimate purpose is to serve care leavers so that they can experience a smooth transition and go on to live successful independent lives. We realise that this can happen at different stages for each individual and as such we support each young person at their own pace!
Staff at Fusion Care Limited are committed to working closely and effectively with all partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people. We work within The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and the incorporated Quality Standards to raise standards of practice in all areas.
The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 incorporate the following Quality Standards for supported accommodation:
Regulation 4. The leadership and management standard
Regulation 5. The protection standard
Regulation 6. The accommodation standard
Regulation 7. The support standard
Our ethos is to ensure young people are at the centre of their support and that they are listened to and feel empowered.
Our core aims are to ensure that all young people who are supported through Fusion Care are prepared for their independence as much as possible. Our aim is that all our staff understand the needs of young people and feel that they can be supported in their professional development. Our aim is to provide good quality accommodation that feels homely and is treated as such by our young people and staff.
We function across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and the wider areas of the Northwest region supporting 16+ year olds in accommodation, we also provide community-based support to children and young people of all ages as commissioned by the local authority.
Founder’s Comments
“Myself and my wife, Suzanne, became foster carers in 2006 and noticed that many young people leaving care were not receiving an adequate amount of support. I am proud to say that Fusion Care was founded in 2009 and has since supported almost 200 young people in the community! All young people have been supported to further their independence, re-enrol into education and many have taken on their own tenancy agreement.”

Registered Service Manager’s Comments
“As a Registered Service Manager, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when young people are believed in. At our core, we’re about empowerment – supporting care leavers to realise their potential and grow in confidence, while also nurturing a team of staff who are just as committed to making a difference. Our success is rooted in the belief that with the right support, both young people and staff can thrive.”
